SENSORY PLAY

TASK MASTERS
2-5PM | MON 15 - FRI 19 APRIL

This program is targeted towards teens to start exploring the world of self-care and life skills in a fun and engaging way. Those engaging will be supported by therapists to plan, problem-solve and execute tasks that are important to them. This may include how to make a bed, dining out with your friends or cooking your family a delicious meal. It’s totally up to them!

RED FROG SPORTS DAY
FULL DAY| MON 22 APRIL

AGE: 5-9

This full-day program will be held by our occupational therapists. Everyone is invited to embrace new challenges and dive into the world of sports exploration. Our therapist will lead the way as we collectively venture into trying new sports, and build our teamwork and confidence.

RED FROG DAY CAMP
FULL DAY | WED 24 APRIL

This program encourages our red froggers to step out of clinic and get among nature and the outdoors. We will come together as a team to problem solve and navigate executive functioning challenges, build resilience and endurance in new environments. This program is perfect for those who will benefit from a new challenge and an opportunity to connect with the great outdoors.

RED FROG COMMUNITY FRIENDS - BRETT PIVA

The Red Frog Community Friends program is a new initiative, designed to pair up with a different local small busines each term. We will be collaborating with a range of local artists and unique creative organisations who share the same values and passions to offer new ways of learning to our participants and their families. Red Frog Community Friends is built to encourage inclusivity in our community, supporting a range of ages and theraputic goals.

We are so excited to have the talented Brett Piva - Artist join us in the April school holidays to run our Community Friends program! Brett is a Newcastle-based contemporary artist and curator, recognised in Australia for his arts and large scale murals. Join Brett and our speech and occupational therapists for a day full of fun in painting, using handmade natural tools and helping to design our brand new mural wall in the Red Frog for Families clinic!


LET'S WRITE

Join us as we explore and develop handwriting skills through engaging in fun multi-sensory activities with friends. Let’s get familiar with letters, and build confidence and success in written communication. THE PLAY COLLECTIVE

DUNGEONS & DRAGONS

THE BIG BUZZ

Join Ben the Bee Man and a team of our therapists for plenty of fun bee activities including; honey tastings, yellow slime making, dressing in beekeeper suits, and assembling our next Red Frog bee hives! This year, we will also have fun bottling our own honey, creating labels and bees wax crafts.

LET'S GET WILD

Spend some time out of the clinic to explore new environments and surroundings. This program will help your child explore outside of their comfort zone and create new friendships while working as a team. We will focus on developing social skills, creativity, ideation and resilience in different environments.

SETTLING INTO HIGH SCHOOL

In this program, together we will navigate the ins and outs, up and downs of surviving high school. We will look at aspects including social, organisation, communication skills and friendships.

Weekly Sessions

Option to continue with your weekly sessions through the holidays.

Please note that sessions may be at a different time/day to normal weekly session times, due to the scheduling of programs.

Intensive Programs

Intensive programs are tailored to each individual child’s goals and needs. Intensives can be a wonderful way to promote your child’s skills and development. These programs consist of a series of therapy sessions over a five day period and provide the opportunity to fast track your child’s goals in a fun and challenging environment.

If you are currently on a waitlist, intensives are a great way to get therapy started!

Assessments

Assessments at Red Frog for Families help to identify areas of strength and difficulty for your child. Our therapists will work with you and your child to determine therapy goals and suitability. Assessments may include; questionnaires for parents/carers to complete to give us a picture of life at home, parent/carer meetings and discussions, standardised assessments of your child and observation of abilities by our specially trained staff.
